Well the badge showed 1100E (with the E in silver with a black background).

I can't think of an E either and having owned one in the 70s and having been around them when they were current, I'm mystified too..

The only Es ever knew were posh Dagenham Dustbins of the period...

OK, so it may have been a badge added at a later date to fool ignorant gits such as myself, but I know I did see it (although the 1100E was a separate badge from the Morris one).

Not found a Morris 1100E, but from down under there was the 1100 S from 1967 which had a 1,275cc engine!

Could this be the the answer to the "E" mystery....

Image

Maybe a MK III, I know if I saw one "on the road" I would have to get a telescope out to distinguish the MK III bit from 2 chevrons away :-D

Seeing that made me think that as we always have two chevrons on the front of the car we can drive as close as we like to the car in front

This is another 5 points in the bag for me, sort of a light green on quite a dull damp day up here.

Of course with FCF being Worldwide, "classics" from outside the UK will in general fall outside of the 120 in I-Spy Classic Cars, but not from this thread.

So talking of the BMC ADO16 stable for example:-

Are their any Nomads in Australia?
or Victoria's in Spain?

I guess the Mk I Leyland National I spotted heading down the M1 today probably doesn't count then given it's not strictly speaking a car...would wager it was on its way to/from a show of some sort though.

Not many of those left so a pretty rare "on the road" as opposed to an "in the museum spot". Apparently designed by Giovanni Michelotti, although he probably dashed it off in a couple of hours....Its an oblong metal box with four wheels and a little bump at the back for the heater paraphernalia :!:
