Can I include a replica Fokker Tri-Plane? I was working yesterday, and I saw this weird aeroplane flying over the motorway (sorry, I cannot remember which one). As we got close I saw the reason it looked odd, it was a tri-plane!

Why not! It's a classic 'plane and we have the precedent of featuring classic railway locomotives in these parts. Planes, Trains and Automobiles. :-D

Next we will be spotting comedic actors. We could (technically) start off with Steve Martin and John Candy!

How about these two beauties? Both were absolutely mint in the extreme, the attention to detail on both was simply breathtaking, not a spot of dust anywhere including the chassis and the underneath of both trailers, stunning.

Yes, a very nice pair of Dunstable's finest! According to Autotrader vehicle check a Bedford 1946 O-Type, and a Bedford 1954 S-Type.

Come on a Messerschmitt or a Heinkel might scrape a few points, but surely not an old Fokker :)

If my arithmetic is accurate (getting less likely nowadays) I clocked a all-up total of 530 points.

If others are interested, I've a couple of videos from this year. First two vids are of the Tractor show at the village festival, followed by WWI replica mono, bi and triplane display earlier this year at Boldre

Was it this one James?

"Aviation enthusiast Paul Ford has built himself an exact replica of the Red Baron's Fokker triplane. He spent endless hours, and £180,000 on the aircraft - and it's now available for passengers to take part in mock dog-fights. The original Fokker Dr1 Dreidecker, a German World War One fighter plane, was made famous by Manfred Von Richtofen, 'The Red Baron'.

I think some points for an unusual spot may be warranted, how about achtundzwanzig?

Well, I wasn't THAT close to it, so I couldn't tell, plus I was also driving on a motorway, so I didn't have time to take in details (apart from it had 3 pairs of wings, that is!).

The WWi dogfight in Mike's video was most likely staged by the The Great War Display Team including

The Sopwith Triplane

and this Fokker DR1 Triplane

Down at the retail park on a Monday

In the usual sea of ordinaryness, this caught my attention and bagged me 10 points.

The curvy outline of the Beetle became world-famous because, wherever it was sold, people found its build-quality and reliability outstanding. It appeared in the late 1930's as a German 'people's car'; the last of over 21 million examples was made in Mexico in 2003. Over that time, its rear-mounted, air-cooled engines ranged from 1.1 to 1.6 litre.

E-type Jag spotted today...broken down in a cloud of steam just off the A421 coming into MK.

Stopped to offer help and the guy looked at me as though I was some sort of lower life form that had crawled out from under his shoe, and proclaimed that he didn't need assistance from "people like me." Okay then...will keep the bottle of water in my boot to myself, and won't offer to get him to a safer stopping point. My departure might have been a bit sootier than was strictly necessary...

Hope both his cylinder heads are cracked.

Unbelievable! Unfortunately I don't think there's any cure for what that guy has got. He could try an A-Hole transplant, but I'm afraid that the A-hole would probably reject him :)
