Can I include that Jaguar XK150 I saw at Fleet services (I posted it in the under 10K thread)?

Re: Classic car summer season-what have you spotted?
Of course James, I like the random "on the road" or "in the car park" spot. The passing general public like a good nose around a proper classic. I was parked in a retail park a couple of spaces from what I positively identified as a "Yellow Ferrari", and virtually everone who passed by had a good look. It had an engine with what I would describe as "two Redheads" which was in full view from the rear "window" and I presume a V engine. Now I know red head in Italian is Testarossa but no badging id to confirm this with the only logo apart from the dancing horse being " pininfarina". I have to say that as far as practicality goes my new picasso performed equally as well as the ferrari in the confines of the retail park car park, and probably used less fuel and made less noise, and had far bettter all round visibility!
No camera so I'm not allowing myself any points particularly seing as I couldn't precisely identify it .
Regards Neil

There is a classic car meet in town this weekend. Would it be cheating to claim I "spotted" them? And what do I win?

Not at all Mike although Neil must be the final arbitrator but essentially any pictures of nice tasty redheads (sorry, classic cars) is what we want!MikeT wrote:There is a classic car meet in town this weekend. Would it be cheating to claim I "spotted" them? And what do I win?

Ooo-er, best keep you away from my niece and my physiotherapist (both natural reds, the latter with freckles - too cute).CitroJim wrote:Not at all Mike although Neil must be the final arbitrator but essentially any pictures of nice tasty redheads (sorry, classic cars) is what we want!MikeT wrote:There is a classic car meet in town this weekend. Typo or freudian slip? The French expression en effet is used to confirm what was just said, and may also introduce an explanation or other additional information.

Well having consulted the official I-spy rule book i find thisMikeT wrote:There is a classic car meet in town this weekend. Would it be cheating to claim I "spotted" them? And what do I win?
So its absolutely fine...However you could boost your score at a car show, motoring festival, rally, or a museum like the National Motor Museum in Hampshire, the British Road Transport Museum in Coventry or the Cars of the Stars Museum in Cumbria
The ultimate prize is of course an order of merit certificate for 1000 points and the title of Second Class Classic Car Spotter. First Class was only awarded for completion of the full book!
In days gone by this required a sworn statement from a person of substantial standing to verify that the points claimed were genuine.
Regards Neil
