Replace radio advice....X7 Exclusive

Post by Stickyfinger »

OK, finally getting naffed off with the standard car radio, loosing stations, hiss, stuff plugged into glove box (crap) Citroen adapter etc etc.

My needs are FEW, Bluetooth for the phone, USB and Aux in would be good. I am not bothered about the cars screen loosing radio info etc,. I hardly change stations anyway sticking to 3/4 standard ones.
Aux in for my music player on long runs, blue for phone, USB for a hard drive/SD card.
I will update the speakers if I feel they need it as the head unit is my first problem.
I have no need for built in sat nav, touch screens or ripping the car apart/getting new trim parts etc.

IF I got this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Radio-Son ... 681231729? type of thing, can I still use the wheel controls for volumes etc ? (and can you get patch leads that work in the X7 ?

Cheers chaps

The one you linked doesnt seem to have the ability to use wheel controls. I'm looking myself so will keep an eye on this thread!

Edit: from looking at the installation as opposed to general instructions it does appear to! So both things you linked would work together

That's good, I just bought TWO head units !, one for the X7 and one for the Xantia, £80 odd for the pair.

Now to find a patch lead for the Xantia and get a check on the X7 and the above patch lead.

How is this for the C5x7, I have according to the lexia, 2x active antenna so I need this type ?
