Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
As it is written in its product description:
• Read DTCs
• Clear DTCs
• Read live data stream
• Single Brand of all Models ( OBDII-16 DLC )
• Full system diagnosis
• Upgrade via USB 2.0
• Multi-language
More or less what you could do with a OBDII BT reader & Android Torque Pro app ... except for clearing faults, no other changes to the ECUs can be made with it ...

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
It might have the advantage of being more user friendly than Lexia though

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Hello again.. I am having problems loading Citroen Service Box on a desktop PC, Win 7 32bit. The first disk loads ok and completes with the request to load disk2; and stops
. Tried several times. The dvd drive is locked by/to the computer so cannot read the second disk until the PC is rebooted. Disk appears perfectly readable after reboot. If I wait after clicking on "OK" it then requests disk 3 with the same result, i.e. locks up.
I have a later version but the earlier 2012 "citrokg" file will not supply the activation code for the 2013 CD's
.
I could so easily get completely paranoid with my cars and Lexia (working ok now) and ServiceBox and am beginning to suspect I may well be
. What is it about Citroen? I want to identify the pipe from the accumulator block (pressure control??) to a connector block under the air filter. Comes off the accumulator and has about 4/5 coils then travels up and back towards the aforementioned "block". ATM rain stops play on stripping it out. I also want to identify where the steel return pipe from the rear HC goen iin a connector block at the front. I had hoped that loading ServiceBox would provide hte answers. All help appreciated
.

Lexia virtual box on mac OSX?
HAs anyone successfully managed to tun lexia3 with windows XP in a vitualbox?
I'm thinking of getting lexia 3 for the xantia; i've delayed because of incompatibility , but this seems like a solution. Perhaps the USB will be grabbled by OSX, and won't work without the cable - not sure.
cheers,
JOhn

Yes it will work John. I've ran it from Virtualbox with no issues myself from a Win 8.1 machine, and a Macbook.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Nice one Mike - good stuff, that's definately what I'm aiming for then. That's the second time in 12 hours you've come straight to my aid with decent assurance! I'll look around for an interface kit and software right away.
I understand I need a 32 bit version of XP to run lexia 3 for a xantia key authorisation (my first essential task) etc… OR
perhaps that's changed with recently updated versions of lexia ?
A main concern I have is this: Can I run the lexia without starting the car, to programme my new replacement keys? I had lost the single one I had, and had.
Regards,
John

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
I'm really considering buying a Lexia as I have 2 Hydractive Xantias and also generally get called over to my parents cars when they play up, one of which is a 308.
So far as I understand I need to buy a Lexia that is version c so it accepts the latest data and 7.6x to do the latest Peugeots.
Where I'm a little confused is what can I run it on and how?
My laptop is a mid 2010 13" Macbook Pro which is what I'd really like to use. It is 64 bit but I believe that if I install xp 32bit all will be well. The way I'd like to install it is to have a bootable sd card with just xp, diagbox, pug2000 and lexia on it which I could just pop into the laptop as required. Am I likely to achieve this? I have an old Toshiba laptop that was on Win 98 and now is Xp I could use but I really would prefer not to if I can help it.
If it's likely to work I'll get Xp up and running on an sd card (hopefully) and then go from there.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
I think it'll work Elma. I got the software Diagbox-7 with XP to work on a macbook 2.1 form 1997 (i think), in virtual box.
Pretty sure the PSA 200 interface works fine, up to very recent, or even most recent models.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Thanks, sounds worth a try then. I'm making it a bit of a pain for myself because I won't have windows on the internal HDD. I'd love to have it on my Mac rather than the old Toshiba though so well worth investing a couple of hours.

It'll be OK on USB. or you could go for virtual box. it's not hard. No need for externals then, and easy to configure with internet and ports.

installing diagbox on virtual machine will reduce the speed?

Its the life expectancy that worries me. Windows will have to stay on a separate, disposable drive if it comes near my laptop.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
WIndows in VirtualBox on your hard drive can pose no problems for your main operating system. It's 'fenced' in OSX software, you're running it within OS X. You can move the virtualBox application around - onto another computer, onto an external disk etc.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
I am thinking of buying a new Lexia clone. I have one which I bought about 7 years ago and have never bothered with updating the software because there was no point for my Xantias (or XM). It probably has a blacklisted chipset. We will probably be buying a modern Peugeot in the next few months and for logistical reasons, I want to leave the old interface with the XM and get a new one.
Looking on ebay, I see a couple of vendors advertising "A.1281 Z" interfaces aas being suitable for 2015 models, as opposed to the older "9780.Z5" interfaces.
Does anyone know any more about the difference between these units?
On a side note, I remember a discussion some time ago about the relative merits of different 30 pin adapters, the ones with a 30 pin round connector vs the 15 pin "D" connector, can somebody remember if the round connector versions have more pins connected or are otherwise better?
