Diagbox 7.38 by scary can't read any ECU

Hi guys,

I've tried forever getting this to work with no success
first with W7 and I even bought an XP laptop especially for it now, fresh install still c not read any ecu.
I installed the Diagbox and updated it to 7.38 according to the video and pdf instructions provided with it.
There are no further instructions with it for installing the interface drivers.
I ran the driver installation provided with it, and it finishes succesfuly.
I restarted the pc after the installation.
Diagbox opens fin e with no errors / activation requests, but when I try to connect to a car nothing works. Auto detection does not work, and neither manually. It keeps saying ECU HAS NOT REPLYED or if I choose pp2000 option it says:

it is not possible to start peugeot planet for the following reasons;

Peugeot planet interface is not connected to the USB port of your PC,
Peugeot planet interface is being used by anotherapplication.

I tried connecting to different car with no success.
Is it something I'm doing wrong? what do I need to do to get it working?

Yep, where where as it purchased/who from?

Also where are you? There may be a FCF member near you with a known working diagbox setup that can confirm if it's your car that's being awkward, or the diagbox kit you have is u/s.
