rattling speakers

Hi, the door speakers on my S1 Xantia are rattling.....is there any way to stop it ? ( other than, turning off the radio )

I want to keep the car, "Silvey" as original as possible
but as last resort....would buy new

here"s hoping there is a way of stopping the rattling speakers....cheers Terry.

Pop the grilles off, see if theyre still in one piece. Mine were rotten!

The one in the driver's door on mine was crackling and dropping out (audio).
Kept meaning to drag it out and have a look/replace it.
Procrastinated so long that it gave up and fixed itself, perfect now

If you have been listening to Deep Purple on high volume that could be your problem, you've blown them apart, try a breakers yard for genuine replacements

I replaced mine with a set from a 5 door xsara mk1, as the speaker connectors changed around the time the bsi's were phased in. Big yellow plugs on them. Basically anything PSA pre 1999 to be on the safe side, think fronts are 17cm and rears are 13cm.

Thats if they're not just loose of course!
