I quite like T'Pau, but not that song. It's one of those curious occasions where one of a artists best know songs is the worst one - to me anyway. Bridge of Spies is a much better song.

56 tracks on the PE Jukebox now including the genuine B-sides where possible. I have taken Mike's suggestion for the T'Pau track "Bridge of Spies" and put this as the "B-side" for "China in your hands"

The old Wurlitzer has a capacity of 200 so plenty room for some more singles to be loaded up :!:

regards Neil

The mention of Bridge of Spies got me thinking straight back to one of my personal favourites Bridge of Sighs by Robin Trower. So here's a single that was never released A-Side "Day of the Eagle" from the Bridge of Sighs album, and "the B-Side "A Tale Untold" from the "For Earth Below" Album. It's there to be enjoyed should you randomly come across it on a Pickled Egg Juke Box shuffle :!:

A cover. A sneaky way of introducing a remarkable band - Swedish siblings First Aid Kit. They do some remarkable covers and original songs.
"America" for instance, where they received a standing ovation from Paul Simon and bemusement from King Carl Gustav, also "Dancing Barefoot" where Patti Smith was reduced to ears.

And an ABBA cover- Chiquitita, arguably better than the original.

Added the above tracks to the Juke box Steve, but I do like Agnetha Faltskog et al doing Chiquitita so the A and B sides of the single from ABBA have been loaded up as well.

Well seing as this is the FCF it you would expect that the Pickled Egg jukebox would have several selections (in French) from the catalogue of French popular music :!:

If you can find any examples, post them up.

One which will always stand out is of course "La Mer" Charles Trenet at his best :) Of course its on the PE Jukebox.

What else though? The theme from "Hallo, Hallo" perhaps... then again theres Edith Piaf

"Non je ne regrette Rien"

If you want to immerse yourself in "Les chansons françaises ( l'amour , la mélancolie et la vie )" someone has put a nice playlist up, but for the PE Jukebox the double A side of Chalres Tranet and Edith Piaf is just a taster.

Johnny Cash has now taken his place in the Hall of Fame which is "The Pickled Egg Juke Box"

Keep them coming the more the merrier :!: although I am currently just letting the Les chansons françaises ( l'amour , la mélancolie et la vie ) playlist on youtube play in the background and its mostly melancolie at the moment, but quite soothing all the same!

She is indeed. Johanna Söderberg, elder of the two.
Klara is the driving force but Johanna is the organised one.
25 and 23 respectively. Their dad is a former band member and has his own recording studio, the mother is a video teacher and makes a lot of their videos. Their dad often tours and plays with them.

They are renowned for being better at American country music than Americans.

They are gradually creeping into the public consciousness and have done lots of world tours and have a reputation for perfection live.

Letterman owns a home in Stockholm and says he would be happy to run errands for them :)
Klara lives in Manchester or Liverpool, somewhere around there anyway.

Gruniad review.

And if the Pickled Egg punters ever fancy breaking out into a waltz, what better than "Sous le ciel de Paris" played by a bloke at the bottom od his staircase somewhere in Devon! I reckon he would be worth booking for a session in the skittle alley! Also nice background for sipping your skinny latte Jim :)

course if you want word and pictures with it Edith Piaf provided the vocals to the tune here

Well thats on the PE Jukebox now, yet another double A side for me :!:
