Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)

Re: Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)
Probably off topic but browsing through ebay today, looking at stuff I can't possibly afford, I wondered why all the adverts for C6s stressed how rare they are. They are uncommon but it is a damn sight easier to find one of those for sale than it is a Dyane, or Renault 6, or 10 etc etc.

Spotted what looked like a van bodied Dyanne heading along the H5 in Milton Keynes around 2 this afternoon.
Definitely been a few years since I last saw one of those.

Re: Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)
Spotted a Xantia yesterday afternoon at the Stacey Bushes roundabout in Milton Keynes which looked for all the world to be a clone of mine. Only got a brief glimpse as I was in the middle of turning right at the time. Could well have been the local V6 spotted recently I guess as I didn't get a proper look!

I think that may have been the one spotted earlier in the underground car park by Zelandeth... Look back a page or so in this thread...BW wrote:I spotted a reddish Xantia V6, S reg. as I passed through Milton Keynes last Sunday afternoon.
You should have called in to see me...
You could have seen another reddish Xantia then

I think that is the one. So rare to see a V6 about these days, glad that one seems to be saved for now. Would have been great to visit too and see your reddish one before its transplant.CitroJim wrote:I think that may have been the one spotted earlier in the underground car park by Zelandeth... To be sure it was that one and they're not breeding, it had a black V6 on the boot.

Re: Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)
We totally need to get all three of the red ones in one place at some point!
...just make sure mine is in the shade so nobody can see the clearcoat peel!
My spot today was a pretty tidy but obviously in daily use M plate Pug 205 Mardi Gras in B&Q carpark. Then about two minutes later saw another 205, a gold D plate one, just turning out of the south exit from Bradwell Common as I turned in. Not often I see another D plate car (I was in the Skoda as it was about time she had a run).

Re: Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)
What colour was the Mardi Gras 205 Zel? I ask as a red one lives local to me here...
Agreed about getting all three reds Xantias together but actually there's a fourth, another Activa in Bletchley...
We must try...

Yep, it was a red one, Jim.
We do need to get a photo of all the reds together!

Re: Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)
Spotted on a cycle outing this afternoon
A 1.9 205GTi that hasn't moved in years...
The interior was stuffed full of rubbish and I fear the car is well beyond saving...
Such a shame

I bet that would come up well with a good clean Jim. At least all the moss is a bit of protection, and it won't have seen any road salt for a long long time!
