I grew up thinking anywhere north of Bristol was dodgy....

I keep failing to answer the question on ferret breeding properly on my North British Visa application form... I can't help feeling my flat cap doesn't fit...

I wanted to get some ferrets a couple of years ago as some friends had them (and polecats!) ooop North when I was a kid. Mrs_Hairdresser had no idea what they were so she asked my dad.

His answer of "Imagine a (-expletive removed-) long mouse that bites" ensured that there are still no ferrets in my house.

This country has no consistency in the services various organisations provide. For instance, it took me 4 weeks to get the TT V5 back but only 6 days for the one for the DRK this week (it'd been in my dad's name and I forgot to change it!) Thought I'd better change my licence too as it's at my old address (next door, so I never bothered!). I posted that off yesterday so we'll see how long that takes.

The missus passport took about 10 days to have done by post.

It's timed, but not actually timed like you think it will be - as I found out last October.
The time is the time that each batch of a couple of hundred people are meant to turn up rather than each individual person.
I paid for the same day service, turned up at the Victoria office when I was meant to and was dismayed to find myself in a waiting room with a few hundred people sat there and apparently 250 in front of me (numbers wise on the ticket calling machine thingy).
Fortunately every so often it jumped about 40 numbers so it wasn't quite as bad as I thought.
I was still waiting an hour though.

Well the passport arrived Friday.....a VERY good service ATM in Newport, in and out in 10mins

@Citnut....yep, but as I know it has problems and the extent of them is not declared, I will not be going there & "has a little rust"...does not fit for me.

(I accept the buyer should inspect..)
