auto diagnosis light

Hi again,auto diagnosis light still on permanently,car starts ok but now and again will cut out,was advised to try and disconnect battery which I have done but still the same,need to go on a two hour journey today and just need some re-assurance that it will be ok,lol,any suggestions as to the prob? can it be blocked injectors etc,help much appreciated thnx

You need to get the fault codes read. It could be stepper motor or something else. I would get the codes read and take it from there.
