GOING DOTTY

Post by FFX-DM »

Okay, another question from me. Has anybody got any tips for cleaning the headlining? I have some wee black mildew dots inside the AX that I wish to sell. It has never leaked all the time I have had it and the dots didn't put me off too much (obtained several assurances from vendor that he would solve any water leaks I found in first few months). However, now I want to sell it, I figure it may be a good idea to try to zap the dots. All suggestions gratefully received.

Easy peasy, there is a product for doing this which i guess you should easy get from a well stocked auto center (i bought some in Motor World). Great little substance, you spray it on as a liquid, then it foams up and dries, then you hoover up the foam and bingo, all the mess is gone

Any idea what this fab stuff is called? I've just put the car on Loot, so perhaps I will manage to sell it to a blind man on a dark night... and the car is black. If not, off to speak to the pimple faced yoofs at the well known auto retailer to track down said wonder product.

How about 1001 carpet cleaner, or Simoniz upholstery cleaner?

The problem with real cleaners (carpet cleaners etc) is that they are wet and a total pain in the ass to apply and remove (can you believe this is through experiences with an Escort, should have torched it!!). If i get chance ill drop in on the way to work, i think Halfords (curse anything with 'ford' in the name) do an identical product, worth a look if nothing else.
If you mail me off board then i can probably buy some and mail it, or pass it on if you live local

Woo Hoo! Sold the AX at the weekend, dots and all, so thanks for your offers of help, but I don't need to clean up the headlining at all now!
It may be intresting to know wot the stuff is called, but don't make a special trip just for me.
Thanks again <img src=icon_smile_kisses.gif border=0 align=middle> xxx
