Very nice! Still really fancy an XM. Just have to convince myself that my Xantia is enough for now!
Especially with two other projects on the plate as well and two cars I'm trying to sell from 500 miles away...

Re: Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)
XMs are gorgeous but they do need plenty of looking after and they do tend to suffer the dreaded rust much more than a Xantia does...
The only problem I find with an XM for me is they’re to big.
Or maybe I'm too small for one.. The seats seem to be made for someone at least twice my size

Black C6, 10 reg, out in the sticks (Bournmoor near Chester-Le-Street).
Stopped on a very awkward bend, looked like it was making a delivery.
Passed too fast to register any more details.
Looking on Streetview they were posting a letter at the postbox in the house wall

Re: Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)
Was surprised to spot this in the underground car park at the City Centre Sainsbury's in Milton Keynes this evening. V6 Exclusive as well. Not a car I've seen around before.
(it's the one in the background).
Surely this must belong to someone on here given how scarce V6s are these days...
I did stick around for about 15 minutes hoping that the owner would show up, but sadly had to get back as people were waiting for me.

Re: Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)
I know the car and I expect it is still there with a serious and intermittent electrical fault which strands it from time to time...
I've been speaking to the owner recently about it. I believe either the engine bay fusebox has a problem or there's a problem in the loom that runs under the rad..
Sadly, at the moment my own health and circumstances don't allow me to offer any assistance.
It is due to be recovered to our local Stealer’s, possibly today...

Fingers crossed they can get it sorted out! Sadly I don't have enough knowledge of the intricacies of the V6 electrical system to be really able to offer any help.
Just was a bit of a surprise to find such a similar car to mine (visually anyway!) Randomly so close to home.

I'm offering him some electrical spares and any diagrams that an auto-electrician my need to resolves his issues Zel...
Had you and he been in that car park on Wednesday lunchtime there would have been three red Xantias there as I went shopping in my Activa...
Now that would have been quite a collection!

Totally could have driven across town in convoy...
Looking at the V6 there though made me realise I need to get me some clear side indicator repeaters as they seem to take a good few years off the car!

Re: Spotted Xantias! (and other French stuff)
I love it! I really enjoy the rat look...That registration number looks familiar but then I realised I knew the car one digit down from it.. A Red LX TD once owned by Xantiaman...
Some news on the red V6 spotted by Zel earlier in this thread. I spoke to the owner this evening and he's had the fusebox replaced my the main stealer and all is now well.. Cost him best part of £200... The Stealer insisted on using a brand-new fusebox...
All's well that ends well
