Lexia Clones and new cables

Unread post by xsaras4ever »

Hello to all from Bretagne.

Its been a while since we have been on here - which is lazy in terms of giving help to others (sorry) but suppose it means that our cars are behaving themselves.

Anyway, our Chinese Clone Lexia has always been a bit tempermental - whork one day and not the next - or does one function perfectly - wont do another function and then will do nothing atall.

We have electrical contact cleaner for the connections etc etc.

Has anybody had this problem and solved it by buying a better set of cables ???

Thanks in advance

Yes, its well known that some of these cloned cables have either spurious, swapped or missing connections internally.

Which cable is giving you problems? Can you access the pining to the flex cable? Might be worth checking the pins to see if any are loose or missing.

Hello and thanks for the reply.

Its the main ODB2 cable thats the problem.

I cant see any good quality ones for sale on eBay etc ???

Will try to open it to check the connections.
