Citroen xm Lexia cant find abs

Hi!
My Abs on my Xm serie 2 dont work. No control lamp lights up in the dash or waring meesage on the left screen (I have new bulb and tested).
Plugged in lexia and no conntection to the abs ecu
I have checked the 2 fuses to the abs is it any more?
Someone have any ideas or electric scheme?

Hi Robin,

The XM can use several different types of ABS ECU. Have you checked the Lexia is trying to talk to the right one?

If in doubt try them all!

Also, the ECU is in a place exposed to much weather so it is a good idea to check connections. Also the ABS safety relay is a common cause of failure.

I cannot remember now Robin but it will be a dark green one, most likely with all the other relays under the bonnet slam panel or possibly next to the fuse box in the engine bay...

Had quite a few XM's in the past with the relay & relay socket badly rotted, when you pull the relay out half the terminals stay stuck in the holder, causes no comunication with Lexia. Its definitely a green relay & its behind the n/s headlamp area somewhere, not been under the bonnet of an XM for years though so can remember if its in the box or not.

I found it! A white connection between headlight and battery was unplugged.
