This Daimler Dart two-tone in general got a pasting on this Daimler and Lanchester forum
Apparently the Dart's lines aren't suited to a two-tone paint job, and in internet land this is the only one that ever comes up.
The suggestions fell on deaf ears
regards Neil

There's nothing like an unusual 2-tone how about this nice pair from SAAB.
Now thats well named as a motorhome
and if the green one's a bit big there's a little red one
regards Neil

And for those people who like a SAAB combi-coupe here's something a bit smaller for summer holidays.
The beauty of it is that you can return the combi coupe to its former state just by replacing the tailgate when you come back from your hols.
It is reputed that such a conversion was also available for the Sierra
Here it is- A SAAB toppola.
Regards Neil
PS just found this example of a BX with a Toppola just to keep up the French Connection in "French Car Chat"

Continuing the Swedish theme...
The Vovlo Amazon has been suggested as a nice classic for under £10K, and today I spotted a nice red one being prepared for a few summer outings. The owner had recently retired, and had owned the car for around 40 years, buying it when it was 10 years old in 1976. Like this
They did come in 2-tone too
regards Neil

A Volvo designed before their bulk delivery of rulers and confiscation of their French curves...
I had the immediate successor to that car, the 144, when I lived in Cyprus... I used it as my knock-about car, known locally as a 'Bondhu-Basher' to keep wear and tear off my new MG Metro, the one I was to bring back to the UK at the end of my tour...
Very excellent cars... The Amazon and 140 series were mechanically very similar... The main difference was the ruler inspired styling of the 140 series...
