What do any car adverts mean? Most are extremely cringeworthy, viz:
Mazda - what the heck is 'zum-zum-zum'?
Vauxhall tonka toy (cannot remember its name) that splits in two and goes haring round town accompanied by 'quack-quack' sounds!
Renault - 'shaking yer ass' or whatever.
None actually tell you anything about the car. [|)]

Not to mention that car that is so ugly that they have to invent new words to describe it - and fail to do so.

I wasn't thinking of a French car. The Citroen Ami goes for big money in France and the Migrane is at least as individually styled. I'll probably never get my hands on an Avantime, either, alas!

This link shows most of Citroens advertising history, the Grace Jones CX GTI TURBO poster is just one of them. The advert was banned in some countries!

Sat in my local pub last night they had what looked like MTV tapes playing on the tv screens. A Grace Jones video came on, and within the music video, there is Grace driving the CX in to her head. So did Citroen pay for her music video as well, it wasn't the advert!

Have to admit - I remember the music video ( have the album Slave to the Rytham) but not the commercial. I think she struck a deal to use the comercial as part of the music video thus saving her a few bob doing something else, and earning Citroen some more publicity.
