No, funnily enough, had you not pointed it out I'd have not seen it Neil..

Actually, the A35 and C1 occupy the same niche, just 50 years apart... Appropriate they should be parked together...

I just adore Nash Metropolitans.

I also love the A35 too..

Not exactly a 2-tone, but a fine example of the eccentric Englishman making stuff in the back garden still, and its towed by a Peugeot so very appropriate for French Car Chat :)

Image

A gentleman called David Gregory from Towcester, constructed this on the basis of a series of 3-D drawings produced by Andrew Gibbons a CAD (Computer aided design) engineer from Newcastle decided to put pencil to paper or in this case 'mouse to computer,' and proceeded to draw a fully dimensional layout of the Roswell from the 70-year-old sketch of what people thought a spacecraft would look like back then.

If you managed a peek into the interior it would look like this, and the whole thing sold for $616,000 at Monterey in 2014

At the same RM auction at Monterey this was sold for $187,000

Image

So in theory you could have 3 of these for the price of the little Fiat :!: :)

and this sold for a whopping £156,800 at the London RM Auction September 2014-and its only a Peugeot 205

Talking about ambassadors the final incarnation of the "wedge" was the Austin Ambassador

heres the dash and a bit of guff about it. The "econometer" must have been hours of endless fun! For me definitely a backward step from the Princess in looks

We had one as an office car in Cyprus in the early 80s. It was terrible...

The Princess was better in every respect...

Our Ambo got replaced by a Honda...
