I quite agree :-D I feel exactly the same...

I know with a V6 under the bonnet that feeling will be even stronger...

I don't use my Activa or XM very often at all.

Both of them only covered about 700 miles last year. The XM did that in one weekend going to the 25th Birthday gathering at Gosford and back. It keeps the car special not using it very often, and the fact it's only covered 50k miles means it's the mileage that makes it special so keeping it down makes sense. It's the same with the Activa, it's also only covered 50k.

 :( If you do go ahead with the v6 conversion Jim I would keep the engine as a spare as you never know when it may come in useful. However if you do go ahead with it I for one would be interested in the old tct engine as tempting as a v6 is to me I could never do that to a car with so much a soul. I thought about it long and hard with my old ACTIVA but after losing her and given a second chance with this one I got off dr.madvibe "The one I think mike was referring to been advertised a couple of months ago." I decided to keep her standard, NO stainless steel after all.

I think though I may be on the lookout for another Activa and tune the bollocks of it for the days when I really do want to upset and p**s off all the boy racer in their fiesta st's and such. :-D   :-D

If you want to really heat up a TCT then have a chat with Chris570.. He's done that to his and it really does go like a whole herd of scalded cats...

It's fun in a balls-out kind of a way but it's made it a bit raucous and hairy. The V6 has performance with quiet refinement; something that appeals strongly to me...

Put it this way I wouldn't use it in a funeral procession. It is excellent fun though if you want to hoon about the MK grid system sideways.

I'm with Jim on this and the V6, the 2.0 tct is a little coarse when pushed. The 2.0 16v in the Zx was a different kettle of fish and loved to rev, shame that Citroen never turbo charged that engine.

Agreed Mark, shame too they never put that engine in the RHD Activa. It was in the LHD version... 16 soupagages...

So many missed opportunities :(

I did like the activa I had for a spell, I never really tested it's true cornering potential sadly, I've been in Chris (Citroenmads) activa and was very impressed with it (or was that scared sh***less ), but the car that sticks in my mind as I want one of these was Chris's V6 xantia, your old one Jim, it was this that got me wanting a V6, cracking car and even with that mileage on it drove beautifully.

Another potential V6 conversion donor Or potentially a cheap way into a V6 Activa if someone is prepared to fettle it, I would expect that you could get it cheaper than the asking price, and depending what the leak is, even drive it home. A very early V6, as it has no passenger airbag.
