How so!

easy done, get a tea urn on the go and a fire for bacon sarnies, be done before first light.

Probably best not to have a swear jar present though

Swear jar? A job such as that is going to need a swear skip of at least 2yd capacity...

For your Activa V6 you may wish to get an engine ECU, there's a specific one for the V6 engine with manual gearbox.
Bargain price direct from Bosch.
Here's the one I bought for my car.

Best to cross reference with Citroen Service, just in case there is a difference S1 to S2 Xantia.

Ooo that's Sir Jams next project in two years when he wants more grunt on the V6 :D

How does that work with the series 2 cph immob stuff? Isn't just a blank canvas so will pick up what's on the cph?

That's the same ECU I have in my Activa V6 as well.

It's dropped in price now too! It was €48, it's down to €33 now so a right bargain for a new, uncoded, unused ECU!

Only difference is Jim's car is an S1 so to keep the immobiliser alive he'd need an S1 ECU :(

Do you really need the immob on a series one or two though?

Not really. I'm tempted to get one and then have it properly unlocked so it'll be happy in an S1.

Just the parts that wear or the more structual things like pedal and hydraulics? Or can you use these from your current one?
How will you deal with the different ecu as most v6s will be automatics presumably?

The ECU in the link above is an ECU for a V6 manual, the same as the one fitted to the ECU, that's why both Shaun's and my own Activa V6's are currently running.

The Activa itself is already a manual and uses the same hydraulic clutch assembly as the V6 does so the master cylinder just unclips from the gearbox and clips onto the new V6 gearbox.

Did you ever manage to find out if the bell housings are the same between the TCT ML5T and the V6 ML5T, Jim?

Mike,

From memory the Bosch website directly that's been linked to offers free delivery whereas they're adding €17 to cover the cost of postage on that eBay advert!

I've got a list of all the parts needed and could work out the part numbers to go with it, I'll have a look at it over the holidays and see what I can knock up.
