Re: Can you link numbers 1-24 with interesting cars?
Stumbled across this today. A very colourful set of "Cartoons" telling LA histoire de la DS
For me at the moment its a case of looking through the pictures, and picking up the elements of the story as told from my schoolboy French...but it getting better all the time
The images are worth a look on their own just click on one than use the "next" arrow to move through the story.
So here is the Citroen DS21 Presidential just to preserve that all important relevant link to the thread!

They look to be drawn in the same style as a Tintin adventure.. I wonder if it was the same artist..

The artist is Thierry Dubois a mere youth seeing as he was born in 1963
You are spot on Jim with the "TinTin" reference

Once he's finished with the RN7, maybe he'll start on the A303french wiki as translated by googly translate
His unique style is inspired by the Belgian school of comics , "the clear line" . The car remains his specialty, and road environments signature. Working primarily for the press , it is also a passionate and a specialist in the history of roads, particularly the Route Nationale 7 . He is the author of several books on the subject very illustrated.

He's younger than me! Not by much though!
Even yesterday morning early it was a 'mare along there due to the winter solstice
We can only wish. I would like to suggest he begins by building the long-awaited tunnel under Stonehenge!NewcastleFalcon wrote: Once he's finished with the RN7, maybe he'll start on the A303

Re: Can you link numbers 1-24 with interesting cars?
Nice to see a Spitfire appearing at 21. Nearly got an appearance in at 12 when I posted up a pic of the Merlin V12 Engine.
I was wanting to get a decent video clip of the iconic sound of a Merlin spluttering into life, better still if there was an atmospheric night time backdrop, but rejected this rather poor quality effort-not quite what I was looing for.
Still here it is, with a nice bit of spitting fire, but not the audio or video that I was hoping to find.
regards Neil

Re: Can you link numbers 1-24 with interesting cars?
I used to lust after a Princess when I was a teenager and I still think they look extremely good now. A BL design, like the SD1, that's stood the test of time really well. Shame they spoiled it totally with the Ambassador and an even bigger shame they didn't actually do as the advert tag-line suggested they had and got it all together... Sadly, they never did
Had they got it together maybe this forum would not exist or would have been called the BCF (British Car Forum)...

I do like the Princess, but I saw an SD1 recently and I was surprised to think it was really dated. The twin-plenum Vitesse, in silver, with the criss-cross alloys (not the fake Rostyle wheel trims) with the lower suspension still looks the part though.CitroJim wrote:I used to lust after a Princess when I was a teenager and I still think they look extremely good now.
