Thanks, Jim.

The reason I mentioned the bolts (and part number for said) is that they look to be a very good alternative to the original bolts. Same length, same thread, stainless steel, and £1.10 for 10 bolts.

That sounds like a really good deal James :-D

Remember what I said and try to screw them forward and not out so you avoid the rusty bit on the very end that is the normal cause of thread binding that leads on to shearing...

The only problem I currently foresee is that the ends are coned, which could make tapping a hole for the extractors to bite into could be interesting.

Well, thanks to northern_mike (for lending me a blow torch), citronut (for advise on using said blowtorch), and RichardW (for selling me an ABS sensor, and warning me of the grommet problem), Gracie now has a working ABS system. I had to make a 'grommet puller' out of a foot of stiff wire, to get said grommet past the trailing arm. I would recommend that, if anybody has got to replace a rear ABS sensor, they take the time to also check the brake pads, disks, and for the weird calliper corrosion that occurs.
