Few weeks ago now, but was a silver (or possibly white...memory fails me) Xantia V6 with a custom "Xantia-esque" reg on it. Spotted just outside the city centre Sainsbury's in Milton Keynes. I was wrangling an over-excited puppy at the time so never got a good look!

Anyone on here?

Does this count? It is from the game I am playing, Elite Dangerous. As soon as I found it I had to pay a visit;

Imagine the messages it would put up on the dashboard! They're mysterious enough in their cars.

That said, even a Citroën spaceship would be more reliable than the lethal bus that was the Space Shuttle... at least Citroëns don't generally fall apart at random as you drive along.

*thinks* Hmm... wasn't the Challenger explosion caused by an O-Ring failing to seal when the temperatures were too low? Orbiter Activa anyone?....

Yes, that was indeed the cause... Discovered by Richard Feynman after a long, expensive and fruitless search by others who presumably couldn't believe it could be such a simple thing..

Activa Rams start to play that trick at anything below 10c so imagine how they'd leak in outer space...

The LHM would form into little balls...

I remember seeing a program recently (sometime this year) about Dr Feynman. They had a clip of him sitting on that board of enquiry, and there was a piece of the 'O' ring material going around the panel. When it got to him he snagged it for a while, bending it quite tightly and then putting it into a glass of iced water. A question that had been asked earlier in the hearing was something like "Is the material adversely affected by cold?", and the response was non committal, but probably negative. When Feynman got to ask questions he brought this up, and then took the material out of the water. It held its shape for a long time (instead of returning back to the correct shape), and he said something like "This proves it IS affected by the cold".

By the way, Citroen Hub is just a small space station, and doesn't sell spaceships (IIRC, but I will pop back to see what they do do).

I saw that programme James. An excellent piece of television. Well worth the license fee just for that...

Just watched that. Had Richard Feynman queued up for ages but until today hadn't read any of his books or watched anything with him in it although heard lots about him in recent years.

Spotted an immaculate C3 Pluriel parked at east end of Colsehill Place in MK this evening in a nice metallic blue. Not seen it around before.

Also worth mentioning that Jay Leno has just done an episode on his YouTube channel about the DS (he predictably loves it), is well worth a watch. Lovely DS too, don't think I'd seen one in red before. If I won the lottery...will put a link up tomorrow when at my PC, linking to Youtube is a pain from my phone!

Me again...

Another silver Xantia spotted yesterday afternoon around three PM just outside Cranfield. I gave a wave but didn't seem to get a response sadly. Not sure if it's the same one I've seen a couple of times in MK or not as didn't catch the reg number.

Saw a very sad H Van on the back of a transporter going north on the A34 this morning.

On its way to a restoration I guess...
