Try Parcel to Go. I have used them in past. You have to search a few as prices vary depending on their deals and rates with the main Carriers.

The Post office will give you a quote, but "a parcel" is not enough info to get meaningful advice I reckon. Size? Weight? Value? speed of delivery required? Where from, where to? Bearing in mind there are loads of things you can't send abroad these days, even perfume! I'm told.

I'm sure the PO are doing 20% off on parcels till sometime mid November, trying to get us to post early no doubt.

I reckon you might get away with under £20 maybe around £15 with the post office for the basic delivery ( express/ tracked/insured are likely to be dearer)
Couriers are probably going to be much dearer and not usually as handy as a Post Office. If you have one of the big couriers collect it as well as deliver, you'd best take out a mortgage I think. They also have some strange restrictions on weight/size ratio I seem to remember. Well DHL did when I wanted to send a Garmin Sat Nav in a box to Spain a couple of years ago. It might be different now.

http://www.interparcel.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They act as a bit of a comparison service. Good prices on some stuff, haven't tried them for abroad yet though!

I used the post office for a small parcel, because I was there, but I was a bit shocked at the price, found out later that I could have saved £13 if I'd used parcel to go and also had it collected and fully tracked door to door.

23 Kg to Spain, collect and deliver for under a tenner???????
I can't even get them to quote for that weight of a parcel to Spain!!

You couldn't send something that heavy to a UK address for under a tenner. Have a look at Ebay courier prices.

It would be good to know what the eventual cost is for Citroenxm, because frankly, I find some of the advice so far, a bit difficult to understand.
Incidentally, couriers are probably just as likely to lose stuff as the Post Office. I've had to claim twice for missing stuff from UPS and once from Hermes. Never from Royal mail so far.

hi Paul I often use transglobal.org.uk (similar to interparcel as Mardy mentions) only as I have my details with them..

They are quoting £20 and 2-3 days with TNT for example , free collection from you

I wouldnt think you could get away with much less really..

Now that's a price I can understand.
