P Bush

Unread post by froggy »

Hi, I have just replaced the P bushes on my S1 Xantia. Iam not too happy about the quality of the bushes, supplied by GSF. I tried my local citroen garage who told me you can only buy the wishbone complete and not the bushes separate ( what a joke ) anyone know where I can source good quality P Bushes ? I have looked on E bay........it looks like " lucky dip" ! thanks Terry.

I was going to say that's rubbish, but checked on service.citroen, and sure enough, only complete arms available for MK1. However, cross check Mk2 and you find the same arm part numbers - and bushes available separately :rofl2: 3523 81 / 82 (Left / right) £36.29 each. AEP do OE ones, but they are not much cheaper: http://www.aepdirect.com/suspension-arm ... ory_id=745

Thanks Richard, that's good to know that AEP do the genuine OEM bushes, I think that's the way I'd go if I'm ever changing the bushes on my new Xantia - they're worn but they don't look TOO bad compared to the old Xantia, so hopefully I won't need to do them...

I've used AEP-supplied 'P' bushes in the past and they were good...

Replaced one of mine on the weekend, the brand was Delta, seems to have mostly cured the throttle steer, still not quite right though, further investigation needed.

When this bush is worn the effect is throttle steer? I ask because recently did the wheel geometry but the car still go to the left.
This bushes are also guilty for knocking sound when I turn on streets with potholes or cubic stone? All the other bushes, droplinks, track rods, balljoints are new.
