Ahh, the good old 'CND' Cortina lights. :-D

They say that's where the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) nicked their symbol from.

Functional only without being offensive to the eye. Exactly as lights should be.

I wonder if Ford had the monopoly on interesting tail lights in the 60's?

I suppose this could have been posted up in the "A Nice Pair but too easy...." thread.

The "heritage of the second vehicle is arguably acknowledged by the garish led offerings today...

Has anyone noticed a difficulty seeing the flashing indicator on a car which has coaxial brake/indicator lights when it's stopped waiting to make a turn and the footbrake is being held on?

There is no physical separation between the lights and not much separation in wavelength of light between red and orange. First noticed this on VW Passats but beginning to see it on others makes too.

Yes, shockingly bad. I'm amazed they pass whatever certification exists to ensure compliance. This in my opinion is a serious design fault.

There's also a similar problem with some front indicators which are drowned out by the DRLs...

Again, why was this clear design fault allowed to reach mass-production?

Agree with both, some cars are close to unsafe especially for Bikers. Try seeing them thru a wet visor !

It might end up coming back to the US style where the rear blinkers used to be red, fronts white and parklights orange.

Well the method that worked for me was restoring the system to a point before Ihad the problem'...

I suspect one of the 14 "critical" updates to Windows 7 precipitated the problem......Microsoft probably thought this bloke has got an old laptop that seems to work ok on an old operating system, time he had a new one. Lets screw it up with one of our critical updates....
