Which ZX estate?

Post by Robin »

Hi all. I am rapidly approaching the time when I need to buy another car for the other half. The car that has taken the fancy is the ZX estate. So a few musts, diesel and as many goodies as a factory fit as possible. Which one do I go for?

Firstly needs to be turbo diesel and go for any trim from Avantage upwards. With the Avantage you get eleccy windows at the front, eleccy sunroof, tilt steering wheel as standard.

I believe aircon was only available on the 2.0 16V as an optional extra. Rather rare!

Air con. Well the onlt time I've seen that was on ZX Taxi in North Africa. Even then the driver was moaning about it not working.

The ones badged "Reflex" or "Leader" and the odd special edition have poverty spec, but generally the rest have the same level of equipment (Avantage & Aura, and the SX on late models)
electric front windows and sunroof, remote central locking, power steering etc, and alloys on the Aura

OK, I think I have sold the car to 'er indoors' but H wants to see a picture of the estate. I have had a skate around the web and cannot find a piccy. Does anyone have a piccy they could post or know of a site with one on? Cheers all for the info. R

Are there any on www.autotrader.co.uk? The trade cars often have a pic.

Hi Robin. I think you would like the ZX 1.9D Aura estate,(TD is faster, but has more things to go wrong on it) you can still find some very nice ones pre 1966, I think they go back as far as 1990 ish? and you can buy them at very very good prices, I saw a very nice one recently for £650 [:D]
