Hi all, I have a 2003 Peugeot 406 s 1.9d I have changed what I belived to be a faulty actuator with a working actuator. In fact, both actuators still work...but both actuators only move to the lock position. When I press the fob to unlock the car doors unlock but not the tailgate. What could be causing this?

my fist thought would be a broken wire between the tailgate and car body,
or maybe the lock mechanism is binding and requires lubricating
or maybe the lock mechanism is binding and requires lubricating
