I used to live just off a road called Titty Ho when I lived in Raunds in the early part of this century.

On the corner was a garage called Titty Ho Motor Co, a dealer in classic stuff.

Within a few miles from here, we have a Titty Hill, a Cocking, a Balls Cross, then there's Didling, and lastly Lickfold (!). As a friend of mine put it - "I've heard of the stockbroker belt, but you live in the double entendre belt" :-D

Malcolm I'm surprised you haven't mentioned the villages of Upper and Lower Dicker, just up the road from you.

Australia doesn't have funny names, at least in the "oo-er" category.

Salt Pan Creek? Hilarious. Gympie? Side splittingly funny. And Narranderra - well, soon as anyone mentions that, you might as well give up trying to be serious and start sniggering. It's England, with town names like Sodding Puddle, that holds the prize...

There's a little village on the north slope of the South Downs called Fulking. Many years ago the council had to replace the road sign for it with a new one with the letters spaced verrrry close together so the local 'erberts couldn't change it to read something else..... :)
