C5 X7 'leccy gremlins....

Unread post by old'uns »

as a continuation from the shorting out on the reverse sensors, now switched off for time being, i fear a Comms failure looming, assuming these have one or a similar system?

latest issue to arise is lights off, a sudden flickering of the Light symbols on dash, the headlights flashing rapidly, turn lights on to stop and the light on 12v socket near gear lever is flashing rapidly as well?
can be alright for a day or so then re-appear

BSI reset first, the cure-all for C5's :-D then x fingers it's not the sensor playing up?

Oh ye, forgot that lost all volume on the indicators flashing but seem to recall somewhere on lexia about an option to use steering wheel module for something?

now starting to trawl AutoTrader for a possible replacement of some sort, the old C5 was a proper good'un compared to this one, 25k a year and no electrical gremlins at all.

try to keep me away from Petrol ande fire please

well after a drive to Ipswich and back for work yesterday and today, it appears that it doesn't like being threatened!!

the light problem is still hit and miss BUT the Reverse sensors appear to be working normally again?
and no Anti Pollution warning either, another regular occurrence lately.
