How to remove ......

the track rods from my Xantia rack :!:

I need to remove the offside track rod I have spare in garage but I removed this one when powers teering rack was off the car and in the vice.

I recall previous threads re similar but haven't found the specific thread

Any suggests or how to's from other members

I put the rack on full lock. . Remove the boot and use mole grips to release them kenny.. easy!

Same dooing them up too...

Same method as me then Paul :) Mind, I do find some can be incredibly tight though so have a good quality pair of grips!

Kenny, that tool you found won't work. You need one to go right over the outer of the balljoint. I've seen one member on here fabricate a small chain wrench to do the job although nothing commercially similar seems to be available.

Thanks for the advise, job done and i fixed the annoying rattle from the exhaust as well 8-)
