AS old'uns said, for the electronic handbrake (to be precise), manual handbrakes don't have it ... :) ... in case the motor operating it fails (or the battery dies completely), you have an alternative to release it

If you had to ask, it suggests you do not have the drivers handbook.

This can be downloaded for free still at:

Enjoy

@ filberton - I like to think about FCF as an interactive drivers/repairman's handbook ... and sometimes you can get an answer sooner than finding it in the papers ... :D ... but the manual you've linked is an older version, some changes have been applied for the redesigned X7 (2011 onwards) ... I have the latest one in Croatian language (PDF), but never managed to find it in english (on the citroen.co.uk they just say you can order it at your dealer) ...

There's an English language version here - but there's undoubtedly several different owners manuals needed to cover the different radion/nav units etc.

Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

That one still isn't the last released one ... easy way to tell, if the section where the headlamps are discussed is talking about HP24 halogen bulbs for the DRL, instead of the LED DRL ... you know you have an older version of the handbook ... :) ...
