And the points go very rapidly to you Steve :)

Yes your link also identifies Frankfurt not Geneva as the location.... so the full 1/4 point is yours :!:

Any deductions for cheating?
Although using freely available technology may not count as cheating.

Incidentally, on that tangent, try this: Go to google.com, click the mic button (assuming you've got a mic hooked up to your computer), say, "Beam me up, Scotty" and dig the results. (Make sure your speakers are on.)

I swiped this from elsewhere and haven't actually tried this as this computer has no mic.
Will try it on one that has, eventually.

New Whatsthisthen?

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

This advert has just caught my eye largely because of the little blue van at 4 seconds in!

How many different vehicles can you identify in a 29 second advert for the Royal Automobile Club July 2014 vintage......?

regards Neil

(To be strictly correct, the "Royal Automobile Club" is a private club in Pall Mall, and also at Woodcote Park Surrey, now a separate organisation to RAC Motoring Services)

Now this is a nice RAC vehicle, they are all a bit garishly orange these days

Well I am claiming 6 points of an available 10 for these:-

Image

still need some help with these difficult ones

The steering wheel may be a giveaway but what model?
Image

Looks a bit Traction Avant-esque
Image

Some of the interest may be the grey car in the background has a familiar shape
Image

There's an unidentified back end of a blue van, but what iis the car on the far right?

4) Escort or possibly pug 306 boot lidded version

Yes it was the one on the far right, too fuzzy an image to be definite, but I did think it had a french look so happy to go with the Peugeot 306 with the boot :)

So I'll give myself 6.5/10 with 3.5/10 going to Malcolm :)
