Russet brown and brown vinyl roof and brown velour seats and even a brown plastic steering wheel! I loved the name Russet brown. It soon got shortened to Rust! Same colour though

If you want a depressing grey, black and silver interior, 'designed' by an accountant with a set square, buy an Audi! That looks like a fairly pleasant place to sit, for a modern car.

I have children. A car with any remotely light coloured interior is utterly futile if I want it to look semi decent for more than an hour.

I had a hire car in the states back in the early 90s, Chrysler le Baron, same sort of colour scheme with added velour panels and loads of interior lights. Get in car for the first time, looks great. day 2 you wonder why you though it looked great, day 3 you are reluctant to get in at all but needs must, by the second week you want to scream at it and have the stylist locked up for cruelty to eyeballs. Unfortunately it got a cracked windscreen so we stopped off at the nearest National hire place and they happily swapped it, for an identical model except the interior was a deep purple maroon colour which made matters much worse.
