I'm sure the car will MOT no problem at all and do a few more years..
I've lost confidence in bangeromics myself.
Get yourself a little C1 for daily duties, keep the V6 as a toy and continue to search for the problem... That's my advice...
Seriously considering getting a little runabout like a C1 after we move Jim, to use to get to work (probably just a few miles to the nearest train station, not all the way into the City) and do milk runs etc. I'm also trying to sell it to my gf as something that she can learn to drive in that can be ostensibly "her" car even though we would both drive it.CitroJim wrote:Simon, don't give upThis latest line of enquiry is incredibly interesting so carry on and don't listen to Alex...

Fitting a roof rack you mean? I suppose a story could be spun out of it with aerodynamics and noise, mpg. OH gawd please no!This latest line of enquiry is incredibly interesting so carry on and don't listen to Alex.
There would obviously be an aerodynamic disturbance caused by the roof rack. This would alter the angle of the car to a slight nose-up position, and at certain speeds (or engine speeds, the scope will be needed to determine which) the angle of the air intake will change, causing disrupted airflow over the sensor resulting in a lack of power. Sometimes.lexi wrote:Fitting a roof rack you mean? I suppose a story could be spun out of it with aerodynamics and noise, mpg. Colour vision is not a problem with Citroen wiring. They're all pink... Or greenCitroJim wrote:You may find their charms hard to resist Mikenorthern_mike wrote: I went and test drove a C1 too. Very nice little car...![]()
I really hope you can sort the wiring issues out on the V5. They really are lovely when they work properly... What were you doing to it today?
I was only putting back together what I'd taken apart last week - HVAC tube behind the glovebox, glovebox, steering column bits and bobs, swapping a knackered indicator and having a poke around the back of the fusebox to confirm there really is no power to the items that aren't working, or the fuses for them at least.CitroJim wrote:You may find their charms hard to resist Mikenorthern_mike wrote: I went and test drove a C1 too.
