I have it Dean, don't think you will find many privateers with it though.

hi mark,
we now have two scenics, one I got for myself is a pile of s**t really, but the "check handbrake" message is always there, now the battery went flat and the brakes locked on,I used the emergency brake release in the boot, jump started it,and the message disappeared, battery flat again next day so bought new battery, started fine but message re appeared?? hand brake works perfectly on the steepest of hills so I think it could possibly be cleared with the proper software...I will get in touch in a week or two and maybe call down and see if you can clear it?? guy at work has a snap on solus diag machine but he wants 20 quid to plug it in,,,,,don't want to pay that to him in case it doesn't do it,I read it would need to be the proper clip software so It would be like giving him 20 quid for nothing......lol....I will message you in next week or so see if you can fit me in for a plug in??? cheers mark..........

cheers mark,
the keycard wouldn't unlock the car when I got it,didn't find that out till i got it home and couldn't get back in it,anyway, I sent it off to a guy in preston who said the board has had it,he fixed up other bits on it,cos I was starting to get the message "card not detected",that's all fixed but he said it was too far gone and some muppett had put loads of solder and super glue on it.Anyway, I have been in touch with him today and he said he has some refurbished virgin keys which are as good as new and he will program me one for £55 which I thought is a really good price...we are off to blackpool this weekend so willl call at preston to get a new key, then once I get back and sort my work time off I will arrange to come down and see if you can clear this message..when I got it,there was a handbrake message and check airbag message, I have a little cheap code reader which found the airbag fault and cleared it,that's never come back, but the handbrake is a bit more detailed cos my little code reader doesn't even find a fault......I will message you in a couple of weeks mate and thanks for the help :-)

The thing about Scenics seems to be that different parts communicate with Canbus and other 'direct' connections. Third party tools are OK but very limited in what they can communicate with, I've got a Clip and an Autocom CDP but the difference in what they can do is dramatic. Also using a Clip means you can use the official error codes to cross reference the fault with the Renault manuals - though that doesn't always lead to a solution.

no worries mark, just pleased to have it fixed...bit annoyed that I forgot to bring the front window passenger side regulator with me cos I bought a new clip as the old one broke (previous owners had it held up with a piece of wood, which it still is) I put the clip on but couldn't get the thing back together, cables really tight..Anyway,this morning i've been fighting with it and managed to get it back together but don't know if i've done it right,it's really tight.....once it's all back together should I be able to slide the clip up and down the runner? cos I cannot move it....don't know if it should be like that?? gonna post on here and citroen to try and find out,but if you read this, would be glad of some help and advice, cheers mark,dean..........
