My Xantia 110 hdi has a damping effect on the throttle. ie. the revs die down after the pedal returns.
I know the 1.9td had a physical sprung damper but there is not one on the HDi.
It is not the cable sticking.
So does the accelerator pedal position sensor have a slight delay?

My 1994 Xantia 2.0i does the same dumb thing.
I don't like it, because it slows gearchanges for rev-matched clutch engagement, but modifying it is too hard for the resultant benefit.
Sometimes the engine goes unstable and surges repetitively if I come off throttle , which is horribly inelegant.
Never happened in my Carby Cits.
My right foot should be the only control above idle revs.
