Gave the car a bit of a service this weekend, with new spark plugs, oil and filter plus a new air filter. Thanks to the colour of the oil, relative cleanliness of the filter and decent spark plugs - it's fair to say this car has at least been serviced within the last 10K miles. Given the fact I have no history with the car, this is a bit of a relief.
I also managed to change the front hydractive and activa spheres, meaning I just have three more at the back to do. It has already made an appreciable difference to the ride quality, which is welcome.
