What the Dambusters did next

Post by Hell Razor5543 »

Earlier this week Channel 5 showed 'The Dam Busters', followed by a new documentary, 'What the Dambusters did next', presented by John Nichols. I watched both, and was impressed by the documentary (even though, having read the book, I knew what they had done after the dams). Well, Channel 5 is repeating both items this evening, with the documentary starting at 17:45.

At the appropriate hour for viewing James, we were at the Pitcher and Piano on Newcastle Quayside, enjoying a free drink! Usually once a month they send a voucher code for a free drink, normally a choice of 2. This month is was a pint of Birra Moretti, or a Pimms and lemonade. Haven't found a downside to the registering. There is even one in Reading! It was one of those days when everyone had the same idea up in Newcastle. The Tyne bar, The Free Trade and The Pitcher and Piano along the banks of the Tyne were all spilling out in the beautiful late afternoon sunshine.

The programme is available on-line here until 30th September 2014

So I will give it a a go!

regards Neil
