I bought something on domestic Fleabay; it arrived almost before I'd paid for it. Problem was, I'd been sent someone else's purchase - it was an item of 2/3 the value and had all their buyer details on a picking slip inside. They received mine.
The seller was very apologetic about the mixup of orders, and in one of those lovely bits of (perhaps ill-advised) honesty said he was going to let the other fellow keep the dearer item if he wanted to. I simply had to send my "wrong" part back when the correct one arrived, along with a return freight label.
So why do I never get the windfall gain?
Never my luck...
