565 miles. Stopping over at Warrington Holiday Inn this time. Hoping to leave around 9 am at the latest. One bit of bad planning. It is the first Scottish cup semi final tomorrow, kick-off 12.45. Dundee United play Glasgow Rangers in Glasgow.Still, could have been worse, Aberdeen are playing the other semi final on Sunday so that would have been much heavier traffic, and for a lot further.
Our route coincides nicely with all the Dundee United supporters between Dundee and Glasgow. Oh well, it's only about an hour and 45 minutes of traffic, then it should be OK on the M74/M6. Car all checked over, spare water and oil in boot. Just load up the luggage in the morning and of we go.

Yep, saw all the greats when we
Iived in Shepherds Bush. Givens, Masson, McDonald Sir Les Ferdinand. We've had our share of plonkers too. Anyhoo, arrived at 1pm from good overnight stop at Warrington. Nightmare 2 hour traffic jam on the M74 on Saturday ( thanks very much radio traffic report for telling us there would be a 15 minute delay at the roadworks north of Lockerbie after we sat for nearly 2 hours. Is there a point to this "service"???). Otherwise pretty straightforward as usual. Shorts on and sitting in the sunshine in the garden!

Couldn't wear shorts where I'm from either. North east of Scotland ain't much of a sunshine paradise. looks like no foreign trip for me this year as every penny will go towards acquiring a house in Surrey.

The only shorts needed up here today was a short handle on the brolly to get it closer to the head!!!!!!!
