I think it would be a shame to lock a thread when members are only expressing views... perhaps you could move it to the general discussion area or advise certain members to 'lighten up'..

You know, we've been reading this thread and enjoying most of it, but you are indeed correct, it's not Citroen related, so off to FCC it goes :)

I'm in the firing line now, am I Napoleon? My post indicated how what you call societal expectations are sometimes wrong, and how stereotyping doesn't always work, hence how you expect the certain types to hold door open - and they don't. And how you expect other types who look rough, rebellious, chavvy or whatever you wish to call them to not do so, but they prove to be well-mannered and decent. Hence my mind has been opened by such experiences and I don't require your observations on my comments to become enlightened.

Don't start on me because you have issues with stereotyping and are feeling tetchy because a few have lambasted you for emptying shelfs of a product. Thank you.

I don't understand people... I make a post about having manners and how I try my best to use them and to stop a member feeling low about people, and the only response is a sarcastic, patronising gripe-release which makes me feel low about people!

Well, before it does, I consider that I have a free conscience, and others came to my thread to have a go.

If they can't take it back, then tough luck.

Over and out. :(

Okay not TESCO'S (But ASDA) !

Post by XMX »

For those who use/blend veggie/sunflower oil in the their oil burner !

One litre pack's 72p of sunflower/vegetable oil in-store or on line @ ASDA or even just a good price for normal cooking as spotted on HOTUKDEALS !

Hi Napoleon, Sorry its not Tesco's as they've not infiltrated this part of the UK I live in 'Yet' !

But if you got an ASDA near you ?

Wow-hay , it's your Christmas and Birthday in one :-D

I was shopping in Asda last night and noticed that a 2 litre bottle of 'Crisp 'n Dry' vegetable oil is on a 'Price Offer' again, but at an unbelievable price

2 x 2 litre bottles for only £3 (Or buy one 2 litre bottle for £3.25) :?

Also available on line:-

Click on photo for link ;)

The sell by date on the 2 bottles I bought was March 2015, so I'll be giving the chip-pan a clean and a fresh replenishment of oil this weekend !

:)

Do you have a Costco anywhere near you? Their KTC oil is about £18 for 20 litres. It's worth paying the £28 or so to become a member.

Just don't empty the shelves of it, don't want anyone accusing you of not thinking of others :rofl2:

Maybe people should read other posters' signatures for an update on whether they actually have a Xantia?
