Winter Tyres and Insurance Implications

I've only just found it so it's perhaps a little late for this winter, and perhaps they may want to update it to include flotation tyres for us in the wet south of England but I came across this page and pdf doc from the Associaction of British Insurers regarding the fitting of winter tyres and whether you need to let your insurer know if you've fitted them.
