xantia clutch done But! 2 Questions!

Hey chaps!
i've managed to get the clutch done on the car, thank you all massively for all the advice, took 2 goes as first one clutch fork didn't locate but onlu noticed after everything was bolted back on and I went to put the clutch arm on! :oops:

Now, 2 questions!
1! How the Hell do you get the Spring back onto the end of the clutch arm pin? i've battled with it for half an hour and can't fathom it out! (Yes I know Should have taken a picture of it before hand! ;-))

2! Do I Need to put the black pipe guide back on? (I havent yet due to Above!)

the spring i usually tap it into place, the curled/hooked end goes around the battery side of the arm neck, and the coiled bit goes over the end of the pin

Black Tube????? Whats that?

Ive actually never put the spring back, couldnt work out what its actual purpose was!!

Never had an issue with the Pins either with the spring missing ...
Sharing a pug 207 1.6 hdi Sw 16v.

the black pipe/cable tray should really go back, even though its a pain in the BBBBB

I put the pipe rtray on first time and got it in remarkably easily! Had to take it out again as hadn't put the arm on! Haha! But will pop it on tomorrow after battling with the pin spring! :-D

just a quicky chaps, struck me last night, Do you tap the spring onto the end of the pin Before putting the Pin back in the arm??
thought could save a lot of faffing that way??

i have done this both ways, but i think fitting it after the pin is home is a bit easier

all back together and tested on the tesco shopping run!! Rediculously light pedal action and Low bight point, The complete opposit of the old one! :-D

Not that I know of! ;-) a few classic cars spotted types, but neither of those,
Just back from a night ride on the mtb before the pain kicks in from the car work! :-D
