You know that, as an ambulance goes past you with the sirens going, the sound changes? That is the Doppler effect. Well, the same is true for light. As you approach the speed of light so the wavelength changes. That in front shortens, while that behind lengths. As a consequence, what was a white star at rest appears to become blue as you approach it, and switches to red as you go away from it.
This is also how speed cameras work (damn them!).

If you are travelling at near light speed I don't think camera evidence would convict you. They would have to catch you first
