poor engine performance

The engine performance on my 2002 C5 2l hdi with 250,000 kilometers had been getting worse over time. It turned out to be the catalytic converter. I had a hole cut in it and the innards
removed and got a lot of the performance back.

Or you could replace the blocked filter and stop polluting the planet maybe ?
