any advice on a xrtd?

hi guys well ive comited to buying a cheep car
its a 306 n reg 1.9 xrtd..120000 but no mot and tax
250 quid..
however ive never owned this engine before and wondered if u guys have any suggestions or mods i can do to keep the car going..
its got a lucas pump and top mounted intercooler..
any tips or things to look out for would be gratefully appreaciated

nowt wrong with that taff../ standard TD engine..
you can always bosch it cheaply if you want WVO,,

they are quit nippy I think,

well done alot of reading lol..the tmic will have to go lol!
either fmic or charge cooler..can put the lucas pump pretty much max and get it upto 18-20psi
forgotten how much fun these old engines are lol!
then theres all the lights im gona put on it lol and the leather
i reakon il have a nice little focus eater lol!

in the future i will go bosch but for now she will be on two stroke with every tank...never failed me on the epic so should save my ass on this lp
