Hello, and welcome
My knowledge is only of diesels, but it may help other members with knowledge of petrol cars if you could identify the model and engine size

It could be simple as a dying battery.
I'd be suggesting that you start with a "load test" on the battery, then conform it's charging properly and check all the main positive and ground wires are soundly connected.
Then you really need someone with a "Lexia" or Diagbox kit to plug into it; generic scan tools won't always show enough information. It may be that if you look at the map on this website for Lexia Locations, there's someone near you who can be of assistance.

Re: Anti pollution fault
Sorry I have a citroen c4 1.4 petrol. Today I put lots of revs on well up to 5000 and held it their a few times I then turned the engine off and back on and the anti pollution fault went off. I am wondering if it's solved it the engine light has gone off on its own? What do you think? Thank you for your replies

Do you generally drive it very sedately? Do you ever "give it the beans" and go close to the redline?
