Xantia rear suspension

Unread post by froggy »

Hi, just noticed, that the rear suspension on my series 1 Xantia, is a little low! I am unable to get one finger between tyre and rear wheel arch ( I understand that you should have one fingers width) Iam now minus two fingers!! Anybody know how I can put the rear suspsension back to where it should be, mant thanks in advance Terry. :(

At the risk of insulting your intelligence/knowledge:
To check the ride height, the engine must running and the car parked on a flat, horizontal, surface.
If it doesn't seem right, check the LHM level and give the suspension a good Citerobics session before checking again.
Check the ride height with a tape measure (measure both sides and take the average) both after rising and after sinking - it should be consistent within 10mm. If not, either or both height corrector mechanisms are sticking (most common cause).
