Xanax is the one they used to give to teenagers suffering from depression isn't it? Turns out, especially in teenagers, it can cause depression and worse suicidal thoughts.Northern_Mike wrote:Can't get it here on prescription any more though I do have a box of Buprenorphine and a box of Clonazepam in the cupboard.addo wrote:Xanax. Much preferable to a works Christmas lunch. Then again, there's not a lot that isn't.
At least when I was on Prozac (or should that have been Proxac?) the only side effects I had was loss of appetite (unfortunately I got it back), a "screw you, you're not getting me down" attitude to my managers and the Evil HR Director (seriously, he looked like Catbert) who were trying to push me out of the company, and a colleague worked out how to set me off into fits of laughter. With me coming out fighting as it were in meetings, rattling off the law to them that they were breaking, they eventually backed off and 6 months later I got a 3 month payoff

Re: Bah humbug! A retreat for those lacking in Xmas spirit
I've got two presents. I know one is a cookery book...
Presently I have a batch of mince pies in the oven and just made a batch of home-made vanilla custard to go with them..
Tomorrow I cook a duck... With oranges...
I'm in the spirit a bit... Just enjoyed the Nine Lessons and Carols on Radio 4...

This is the problem with allowing the cook to add wine to the cooking - most of the wine ends up in the cook (and as the cook myself, long may it continue )CitroJim wrote:I'm in the spirit a bit
Enjoy the Duck a l'orange, Jim. I'll be having mine later in the week

I am, but only because I am working 12 hour shifts tomorrow and boxing day, then 12 hour nights for the next 3 nights after that.CitroJim wrote: I'm in the spirit a bit... Just enjoyed the Nine Lessons and Carols on Radio 4...
That means double time for 3 days, and 3 days in lieu, so I'll get to take my holidays when it's not windy and rainy, and the money can be used to go somewhere Perfect.
